The City is seeking an engineering consultant specialized in geotechnical engineering and slope stability to conduct field inspections of selected sites and prepare a report that summarizes field inspection findings, changes to the slope since the last field inspection, recommendations for follow-up monitoring frequency, changes to risk rankings as applicable, and general recommendations for remedial work at the site as required. The scope of work includes: 1. Existing Information Review: Review and understand provided reports relating to slope stability issues and associated monitoring recommendations. Recommend which sites are to be included in the 2026 slope stability inspection program, with a minimum of specified sites required. Proponents may propose additional sites or recommend removal, with clear rationale and subject to approval. 2. Field Inspections: Inspect identified sites and confirm if site constraints remain or if there are new constraints. The inspection includes site photographs, site observations, completion of site-specific inspection reports, slope inclinometer measurements as applicable, and recommendations for new site surveys if necessary. For non-City-owned sites, City will coordinate access. City staff may join inspections. 3. Reporting: Produce a report and figures summarizing field inspection observations, changes to slope conditions, changes to risk rankings, recommendations on further investigations, monitoring frequency, and/or remedial work. The report format includes an executive summary, detailed inspection reports, and a clickable Table of Contents. A draft report is to be submitted for City review, with comments incorporated in the final version. A CAD version of figures is to be provided in the final report.
