Sealed bids are solicited for the North Aurora Veterans Park Improvement Project. Bids must be submitted to the designated address and clearly marked. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a company with an A-1 best rating, or a cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid made payable to the Village of North Aurora. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Illinois Preference Act, and an Apprenticeship Training Program certified by the USDOL. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States in accordance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, unless an approved waiver is provided. The work consists of the demolition of the existing memorial park and the installation of a water service, granite fountain, walls, concrete hardscaping, site furnishings, electrical and lighting, and landscaping for the new memorial park. During construction the Contractor shall be responsible for erecting and maintaining all temporary traffic control measures, including signs, barricades, etc. required to direct traffic and patrons.
