The Village of Wilmette will receive bids for the 2026 Alley & Brick Street Reconstruction and Patching work. The work is officially titled 2026 Alley & Brick Street Reconstruction and Patching, as described in the Specifications section. Bidders are required to submit bids covering all included work. A bid bond amounting to ten percent of the total bid is required. The three lowest bidders must submit a list of proposed subcontractors by the specified deadline. Bidders must check designated websites for any posted addenda and acknowledge all addenda in their bids. All communication regarding questions must be in writing, and no oral explanations will be binding. No clarifications or addenda will be issued after the designated cutoff date. The project includes Portland Cement Concrete ("PCC") alley reconstruction at up to seven alley locations (up to 6,228 square yards or 0.60 miles), approximately 415 feet of 8-inch sewer construction, brick street reconstruction at two locations (up to 1,890 square yards or 0.20 miles), brick roadway patching (approximately 14,000 square feet) at various locations, concrete sidewalk replacement (approximately 1,150 square feet) at Girard Avenue, pedestrian bump-out construction on Ridge Road, 261 square yards of PCC 8" pavement replacement for a PACE bus stop on Green Bay Road, and alley PCC pavement patching at various locations throughout the vi lage.
