Project has not yet been awarded and the timeline for award will be this coming March 3rd ** The work includes 1.5-inch HMA milling of the existing roadways, a 1.5-inch HMA Surface overlay, sidewalks, and all incidental work as specified in the contract documents and plans. All proposals must be submitted on State Board of Accounts Form No. 96 along with the proper forms included in the contract documents, and the entire set must be filed intact as a bid. Bidders must be INDOT pre-qualified per Indiana Code (IC) 5-16-13-10. Bids must include a certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or money order in the amount of five percent (5%), made payable to the Treasurer of Town of Roanoke. Alternatively, entities with a principal place of business in Indiana may file a bid bond of five percent (5%), made payable to the Town Council of Roanoke. The successful contractor will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within ten days after award, and a two-year maintenance bond in the amount of thirty percent (30%) of the contract price prior to completion and final payment. Contractors must obtain complete sets of drawings and contract documents, assuming the risk for any errors in bids prepared with incomplete sets. Proposals may be held by the Town Council for up to ninety days from the public opening. The Town Council reserves the right to ask for clarification on any bid, and the lowest responsible and responsive bidder will be selected, though the Council reserves the right to reject any proposal, waive technicalities or irregularities, delete items, and award the contract they find most advantageous.
