Project Birch Road Sewer Pump Station Improvements The project consists of but not limited too; handling of existing wastewater flows and bypass pumping, manhole-to-manhole replacement of existing sewer main and services, installation of sewage grinder manhole, replacement of existing wet well, installation of valve vault structure, removal of existing single-phase duplex submersible pumps and associated hardware. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The participation goals for this project shall be for minorities and for women is 5%. Work included: 1. The Work of this section includes all labor, tools, material, fittings, accessories and equipment necessary to provide plumbing system(s), complete and operable and in accordance with this section of these specifications, the drawings and the standards of the applicable codes listed therein. 2. The Plumbing Contractor shall be responsible for the following: a. LP Gas supply system from the supply tank connecting to the Generator. b. LP Gas Containers - Furnish, Install and Pipe, including an initial fill of LP gas. c. Painting of gas piping and supports. 3. The Work shall include the furnishing, set-up and maintenance of all derricks, hoisting machinery, scaffolds, staging, planking, ladders, etc. as required for the Work. 4. Secure all permits, inspection, and approvals and pay all costs and fees. 5. Unless the Specifications state "No Substitutions", substitutions will be considered for any specified item. 6. Coordinate safety program with that of the General Contractor. Cooperate with other trades to establish lines, levels, openings, chases, clearances, and locations to avoid interference, and to protect the Work. The project consists of handling of existing wastewater flows and bypass pumping, manhole-to-manhole replacement of existing sewer main and services, installation of sewage grinder manhole, replacement of existing wet well, installation of valve vault structure, removal of existing single-phase duplex submersible pumps and associated hardware, furnishing and installation of new sewage grinder unit, furnishing and installation of new three-phase duplex submersible cutter pumps and associated hardware, installation of new submersible level transducer and digital controller with emergency back-up high level alarm float, installation of Mission alarm notification system, removal and replacement of existing control panel with a new control panel, installation of VFD to convert single-phase input power to three-phase, installation of new underground electrical conduits, removal and proper disposal of existing fence and installation of new fence, removal and proper disposal of existing liquid propane generator and fuel storage tank, installation of a new liquid propane generator and fuel storage tank, installation of new water service and yard hydrant, paving of pump station site and driveway, environmental controls, loaming and seeding, landscaping, dewatering as necessary, and all other items required to provide a completed operational sewer pump station as shown and specified in the Birch Road Sewer Pump Station Improvements contract documents, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. The estimated project cost is approximately $1,750,000.00.
