Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chico, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.

The project consists of providing all required labor, material, equipment, and services for the District Restroom Projects - Package B at Chico Jr. High, Hooker Oak Elementary School, and Marsh Jr. High School for the Chico Unified School District in strict conformity with the Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents. Bidders must submit sealed bids using the District-provided form, and each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to possess a State of California Contractor License B, which must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and throughout the term of the contract. As security for bids, each bidder shall provide a bid bond, cash, or a cashier's or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The successful bidder and its subcontractors must pay all workers no less than the general prevailing per diem wages as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed. Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with registration and qualification requirements pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularity. The contract, if awarded, will go to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. No bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. Additional specific instructions include submission procedures, bid security requirements, and prevailing wage compliance. Question Deadline 02/03/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to the District by emailing Kayci Tiner at ktiner@chicousd.org. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the District in response to those questions will be issued in writing by Addenda faxed, mailed, or delivered to all parties recorded by the District as having received the Contract Documents. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening Bids may not be answered.
