This Request for Quotations (RFQ) solicits pricing for the procurement, installation, and commissioning of six (6) microwave radios forming three (3) point-to-point communication links, along with associated components, on four (4) County-owned communications towers. The basis of design and pricing for this project is the SAF PhoeniX-G2 microwave radio operating in the 11 GHz band, paired with Andrew 10/11 GHz, 1.0-meter, vertical/horizontal polarization solid parabolic antennas, as described in the attached Model Contract. This project is intended as a like-for-like replacement of the existing system, utilizing existing communication paths and mounting locations . Vendors may propose alternative equipment with written justification proving it is an exact equal to the basis of design. The County will provide the required network switches and backend network infrastructure. The contractor is to coordinate with County staff for the interface connection and functional testing only. This is a low dollar value public works type project, and the contractual instrument will be the Small Projects Contract including attached terms, insurance requirements, and the scope of work. Bidders must list all exceptions, submit required forms with their quote, and attend a mandatory site walk.
