The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the Work found in Attachment A (Reevesville Water Line Improvements-Specifications) and Attachment B (Reevesville Water Line Improvements-Drawings) and as according to the terms and conditions found in the entire solicitation document. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, installation of approximately 5,568 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch water main, which includes 935 LF of 8-inch DR18 C900 Fusible PVC (fPVC) installed by horizontal directional drill method, six (6) fire hydrants, twenty-six (26) service reconnections, and necessary appurtenances. The project also includes eight (8) new 2-inch air release valves and replacing seven (7) 2-inch air release valves in the Winterseat and Carolina Bay subdivisions. The last day and time for submittal of written questions shall be no later than Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Substantial Completion of this Project shall be achieved within Ninety (90) Calendar Days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Final Completion should be achieved within Thirty (30) Calendar Days after the Substantial Completion date. Contractor shall have One Hundred and Twenty (120) Calendar Days to complete this project. Any bid over $25,000 must be accompanied by a bid bond acceptable to the County. Bid bonds must be issued by a corporate surety registered and authorized to do business in the State of South Carolina. Bid bonds shall be payable to the County, shall be for at least five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid, and shall serve as a guarantee deposit that the bid will be carried out to the complete satisfaction of the County. In lieu of a bond, Bidder may submit a certified check or cashier's check in aforesaid amount payable in U.S. funds.
