Renovation of a mixed-use development in Clare, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
The work involves removing all existing drinking fountains and installing 24 new vandal-resistant Elkay bottle fill stations across the district that are compliant with the Clean Drinking Water Access Act and related amendments, collectively known as "Filter First." The installation includes all required electrical and mechanical work at locations specified in provided drawings, with any changes subject to district approval. The contractor is responsible for all measurements and must adhere to all State of Michigan and local codes, as well as manufacturers' installation requirements. Quantities specified are 19 Elkay ezH20 Vandal-Resistant Bottle Filling Station & Single Cooler Filtered Refrigerated Stainless units (Model: ELVRC8WSK) and 5 Elkay ezH20 Vandal-Resistant Bottle Filling Stations & Bi-Level Cooler Filtered Refrigerated Stainless units (Model: ELVRCTL8WSK). Prevailing wage law applies, requiring project registration, pay records, and compliance with all state laws. Bidders are responsible for reading all requirements, submitting sealed bids exclusive of taxes, and supplying necessary supporting documentation, including evidence of ability to install and service the equipment. All bids must be clearly marked and submitted on the specified form. Bidders should certify compliance with all relevant laws, cannot sublet or assign the order without written approval, must supply insurance certificates upon request, and must include an hourly labor rate in the bid. Any exceptions to the terms must be explicitly declared. All work must be completed and invoiced by the specified deadline. All workmanship shall carry a full two-year warranty from the date of substantial completion and acceptance.
