This Invitational Request for Tender (the IRFT) is an invitation by the Corporation of Norfolk County (Norfolk County) to pre-qualified Bidders under contract through the related RFPQ EIS-ENG-24-84 to submit bids for the rehabilitation of the Big Creek 6th Concession Bridge and Big Creek 5th Concession Bridge and Overflow Culvert, as further described in Section A of the IRFT Particulars (Appendix C) (the Deliverables). The Contractor shall supply all labour, equipment, and materials to complete the Big Creek 6th Concession Bridge and the Big Creek 5th Concession Bridge and Overflow Culvert Rehabilitation project in accordance with all contract drawings, specifications, special provisions, and other items and conditions included. The work includes the restoration of all surfaces disturbed as a result of construction to conditions equal to, or better than, as existed prior to the work. This restoration covers asphalt and gravel surfaces, revegetation of disturbed shrub plantings, and restoration of grassed areas. The Contractor is responsible for traffic control at the work site as noted in the traffic control plan, including road closures, detours, and all required permits. Environmental protection measures, compliance with all health and safety regulations, protection of existing utilities, and scheduling to coordinate with third-party work are required. All temporary and permanent materials must be supplied by the Contractor, and all work must comply with applicable standards and specifications.
