Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Mocksville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Work is located at the intersection of Deadmon Road (SR-1801) and Turrentine Church Road (SR-1802) just north of and including the existing Deadmon Road Booster Pump Station. The main purpose of the project is to construct a new pump station that allows the County to pump water in both directions (from Cooleemee WTP north, typically, and from Sparks WTP south in emergencies). The Work consists of the following: o Construction of the new Deadmon Road Booster Pump station building to include two (2) fifty (50) horsepower (HP) horizontal split-case centrifugal pumps operated in dutystandby configuration, electrical work including variable-frequency drives (VFDs), associated piping, HVAC, SCADA, valves, and appurtenances. The suction and discharge lines will connect to the existing 12-inch water main along Turrentine Church Road. o Five (5) motorized actuated butterfly valves (BFVs) controlled by SCADA that determine the direction of flow through the station (to the north or to the south). o Demolition of the existing booster pump station. All details are available in the project drawings. Bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and comply with relevant North Carolina MBE/WBE requirements. Bids are to be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum and unit price basis, with possible additive alternates as per the Bid Form. Each bidder must be registered as a Bidding Document Holder with the Issuing Office. Bids not from registered holders will not be opened. Proof of qualifications and bid security must be included as described in the Instructions to Bidders. EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% State of NC MBE/WBE participation goal: 10% (combined) Completion- 270 calendar days Question Deadline 02/12/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. To receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer at least seven (7) days prior to the date for the opening of Bids. The Pre-Bid Meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at 10:00 AM will take place inperson at the Davie County Commissioner’s Conference Room, 123 S. Main Street, Mocksville, NC 27028.
