Demolition for a municipal facility in Chester, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.
The scope of work includes scattered site demolition of various properties within the City of Chester. The contractor is required to completely remove the structure and site features for the properties scheduled for demolition. Work will also include utility disconnects, common wall restoration, obtaining building permits, and concrete restoration. Bidders must submit proposals online via PennBid. All questions should be submitted through the PennBid website by the posted deadline. Direct contact with the Engineer or staff is not permitted. Bidders must provide a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price. The successful Bidder is required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount within ten calendar days of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the bid. The project is federally funded, and federal requirements apply. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage requirements and Section 3 Final rule threshold requirements for contracts over $200,000 in HUD funds are applicable. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, but the owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.
