Bids are requested for the Nazareth Children's Home Lift Station Rehabilitation. Bids must be submitted on the designated form and may be rejected if not. Provide and install: _ 4-inch flanged bypass connection using linestop and/or team valve (possibly inserta-valve) o MJ gate valves to be cut-in if practical/feasible o Cement lined, epoxy coated ductile piping to be utilized underground o Underground connections using restrained MJ connections o Concrete kickers at force main bends including restrained MJ connections and stainless support rodding _ Bypass pumping setup for duration of the project (including vac truck as needed) o Primary enclosed pump for noise mitigation o Open unit backup pump o Alarm system for high level monitoring o Pump system to be checked daily by contractor while in use, including weekends and holidays _ 4-inch isolation valve to be installed between station and bypass connection _ Re-route existing force main inside wet well and between wet well and bypass connection o Utilize 304 stainless piping inside wet well and through wet well wall _ Remove existing pumps, motors, and structure o Haul away and dispose of removed items _ Remove existing trash basket, rails, and wet well steps _ Remove or install permanent plug to old force main piping through wall _ Install new above ground USEMCO valve box (weather-proof, heated, and fan cooled) o Provide electrical junction box for pumps and floats inside USEMCO valve box o Eliminates confined space requirements to service valves and/or valve piping _ Duplex submersible pumps (flow and head to be tested and compared to SRU existing data) o Power conditions to be tested at station o Verify electrical and control system at pump station o Contractor responsible for electrical modifications to support new pumping system _ Does not include changes to service, service changes to be responsibility of SRU o Stainless guide rails, chains, float bracket, fasteners o Utilize stainless flanged connections to pump bases o No flange adaptors to be used at pump bases o USEMCO stub pipes (3) to be connected using stainless STRAUB bolted couplings _ Wet well epoxy coating o Coating based on concrete in relatively good condition o Concrete condition to be assessed by contractor before station is taken offline o Prep of walls, ceiling, and wet well bottom o Skim coat of Tnemec 217 mortar o Epoxytec coating (100-125 mils) _ Demo and Installation of new electrical components o Electrical evaluation of existing equipment by licensed NC Electrical Engineer _ Electrical panels to be reused with necessary modifications made by contractor _ Any modifications or changes to electrical service to be by SRU o New wiring and conduits for additions/changes made during rehab o New stainless junction box(es) for power/controls at wet well/valve box o Installation of pump modules/relays _ Modifications to existing concrete/additions to existing concrete for new station components _ Seal existing concrete top openings as needed _ Utilize existing hatch opening or add new hatch opening. _ Startup procedure performed for new pumps _ Bypass system will be dismantled and removed _ Service crew trained in confined space entry and rescue during project _ Confined Space and Rescue equipment provided on site for project duration _ Head and flow of pumping system based on current existing system _ New gravel added to disturbed area and within lift station fencing _ Includes cleanup of jobsite to meet prior condition of lift station _ All materials used to be of brand/quality accepted by SRU o Piping and Fittings in wet well to be 304 stainless steel with welded connections The offer must be valid for 60 days from the bid opening unless otherwise stated.
