This project intends to replace the existing chiller with a new chiller at Pima County Juvenile Courts Complex located at 2225 E. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ 85713. The project shall be complete and in place within 40 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for late delivery will be assessed per Article 7 of the General Conditions. Due to limited subcontracting opportunities, no Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goal is established for this Contract. Certified SBE firms are encouraged to participate. BID BOND: Bids must be accompanied by an original bid guarantee of 10% of the TOTAL BID amount. Pima County accepts the forms of bid guarantee provided in A.R.S. 34-201(A) (3). Testing and delivery shall be included as part of the Conditional Notice to Proceed. Upon receipt of notification from the Contractor of delivery of equipment onsite, the County will issue a Construction Notice to Proceed which will initiate the construction completion time defined in the Sample Contract. Contractor must remove the existing chiller from Juvenile Central Plant. 3.2. Contractor must extend existing chiller pad if needed along with any additional modifications to the pad. 3.3. Contractor will provide full factory warranty service 24/7 flange to flange at no additional cost to Pima County for two (2) years beginning at initial startup. 3.4. The chiller shall be factory performance tested. Performance of chiller will be witnessed and verified by representatives of Pima County by utilizing telepresence or in person. 3.5. A factory representative shall be provided for inspection of installation, initial start-up and training of Facilities Management Personnel at the Pima County site. 3.6. Contractor will dispose of the old unit in accordance with Industry standards. 3.7. Contractor will make any necessary piping modifications. 3.8. Contractor will make any necessary electrical modifications and upgrades. 3.9. Contractor will provide and install harmonic filter for compressor variable speed drive. 3.10. Contractor will provide and install water flow switch. 3.11. Contractor will provide and install a marine water box on condenser only. 3.12. Contractor will provide and install single point power connection with disconnect switch. 3.13. Contractor will provide and install factory insulation package.
