The project is for Albany Avenue Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements in the Village of Kinderhook, covering approximately 0.30 miles from State Route 9 to Sunset Avenue along both sides of Albany Avenue. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications, including concrete sidewalks, stone curbing, drainage improvements, and new and replacement crosswalks. Bidders must follow NYSDOT Standard Specifications and use the approved civil rights reporting software, Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO). There are employment goals for minority (2.6%) and women (6.9%) employment. There are no DBE, MBE, WBE, or SDVOB goals. Bidders must be registered with the NYS Department of Labor prior to submitting a bid. Bids must include completed Bid Form, certifications, and, for federally funded contracts, the completed DBE Participation Package. Each bid must be accompanied by security of at least 5% of the bid amount. Successful bidders must furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of the accepted bid. The work must be substantially completed within 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed and ready for final payment by 12/31/2026. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Village of Kinderhook Village Board.
