Site work for a water / sewer project in Defiance, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of March 18, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Work of the Project involves the rehabilitation and renewal of existing sewer infrastructure within the designated service area. The scope includes sewer lining, sewer replacement, and manhole lining. Sewers to be lined shall be cleaned and prepared for lining, CCTV shall be performed before and after lining. Sewers to be replaced shall be excavated, removed, replaced with new pipe, backfilled, and the surface shall be restored. Manholes to be lined shall be cleaned and prepared for lining, lined to restore structural integrity, and inspected for proper coverage and adhesion. Any defects in the pipe lining, pipe replacement, or manhole lining shall be repaired as necessary. The Work shall be performed for the OWNER in accordance with the conditions of the Contract. Bid Security Furnished in Bond Form (Bid Guarantee and Contract and Performance Bond as Provided in Section 153.57.1 of the Ohio Revised Code), Must Be Issued by a Surety Company or Corporation Licensed in the State of Ohio to Provide Said Surety. Those Bidders That Elect to Submit Bid Guaranty in the Form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit Pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code and in Accordance With Section 153.54 (C) of the Ohio Revised Code. Any Such Letter of Credit Shall Be Revocable Only at the Option of the Beneficiary Owner. the Amount of the Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit Shall Be Equal to Ten (10) Percent of the Bid and the Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Submit a Bond in the Form Provided in 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in Conjunction With the Execution of the Contract. The Defiance County Commissioners Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or to Increase or Decrease or Omit Any Item or Times and/or Award the Bid to the Lowest and Best Bidder. The Engineer's Estimate for This Project is $310,000 (Base Bid) and $380,000 if Alternative 1 is Chosen. Bidders Must Comply With the Prevailing Davis-bacon Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Defiance County as Determined by the U.s. Department of Labor, Federal Wage and Hour Division. To be eligible to bid on the project, each bidder must obtain the Bid Documents directly from Arcadis. Questions deadline: 03/06/2026
