Description

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Norton Shores, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a 4,000-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

The project consists of the labor, material, equipment, architectural fees, and permits required for the resurfacing and painting of the basketball court at Avondale Park, located at 2900 McDermott St., Norton Shores, MI. The scope of work includes cleaning the basketball court, property management, and adding an extra five feet of surface material along all sides of the court to achieve a total dimension of 50 feet by 80 feet. The contractor is responsible for milling a butt joint at the limits of the resurface area, placing a bituminous tack coat for proper bond, and resurfacing with one 1 1/2" average course of hot mix asphalt. Instructions to bidders include submitting sealed proposals by the specified deadline, marking envelopes properly, agreeing not to withdraw proposals for ninety days after opening, and providing information regarding experience, personnel, and project approach. The City reserves the right to reject proposals, waive informalities, award the contract in its best interest, and negotiate with the selected proponent. The final award decision will be made by the City Council.
