The proposed work includes construction of a 5' wide sidewalk on the east side of Birch Rd. from the existing pedestrian crossing at Mall Rd. south to the intersection of Birch Rd. and Industrial Park Dr., and all other incidental related work. All bidders must purchase plans through Great River Engineering, Inc. and be on the planholder list in order to bid the project. Bidders must be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, with the contractor questionnaire on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and subcontractors must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program or similar, to be completed by on-site employees within sixty days of beginning work. A certified cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5% is required with each proposal. No 2nd tier subcontracting is allowed. The contract requires compliance with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and the United States Department of Labor. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. QA date - 2-11-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the contract documents shall be submitted to the Design Professional in writing. Replies will be issued by written addenda to all parties on the planholder list. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Any alternate material shall be approved prior to the bid opening and in sufficient time to issue an addendum. No alternates will be approved unless approved in a written addendum.
