Site work for an educational facility in Galena, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The scope of work for the project located at Galena High School, 1206 Franklin Street, Galena, IL 61036, includes, but is not limited to the following: Work for the project includes but is not limited to: Demolition of existing structures, site utilities, earthwork, retaining walls, paving, building concrete, site concrete, athletic equipment, artificial turf, athletic track surfacing, fencing, storm drainage, field lighting, and restoration. As part of the Bid Package 3, the district will be seeking bids for the asphalt paving, general trades, electrical, fencing, site utilities, concrete, and retaining wall systems. Drawings and specifications are available online, by phone, or in person. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on site at the Galena School District Office. Attendance is not mandatory but prospective bidders are urged to attend to familiarize themselves with the project and site. Separate site tours may be arranged by contacting the provided representatives. Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained from Tri-State Blue Print & Framing Company upon depositing the specified sum per set or receipt of approved association cards. Deposits will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders if documents are returned in good condition within fourteen days after award of the project. Question Deadline 02/10/2026 Submit questions about the Bidding Documents to the Architect in writing Deadline for submission of questions, clarifications, product substitution requests and similar inquiries is forty-eight (48) hours before bid time; inquiries will not be accepted nor addressed via addenda after the deadline. A. Work Covered By Contract Documents: B. All work required to complete Bid Package 2 of the Galena High School Sports Field Improvements/ Site Completion & Press Box. C. Contractor's Duties: 1. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, provide and pay for: a. Labor, materials and equipment. b. Tools, construction equipment and machinery. c. Temporary water, heat, electricity, sanitary facilities and transportation required for construction. d. Other facilities and services necessary for property execution and completion of Work. 2. Secure and pay for, as necessary for proper execution and completion of Work, and as applicable: a. Permits. b. Local fees. c. Licenses. 3. Comply with codes, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders and other legal requirements of all public authorities which bear on performance of Work, whether local, state or national. 4. All materials shall be new and installed true, plumb and square in a good, neat and workmanlike manner as judged by the industry-wide standards. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible for the building layout, measurements and dimensions. Verify all dimensions of existing construction, as no assurance of dimensional accuracy is given. 6. Before start of work, the Contractor shall submit to the Owner all required documentation, including Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bonds and a Certificate of Insurance as required in the General Conditions. 7. The General Conditions are made part of the Section as if herein written. A. Briefly and without force and effect upon the Contract Documents, the Work of this multiple contract project may be summarized as follows: B. Work under this Project includes: 1. Sitework a. Site utilities: Electrical Service to Delay of Game Clocks, Scoreboard, and Press Box. b. Rough and finish grading, asphalt paving or Track, Asphalt Sidewalks, Concrete sidewalks per the drawings. Installation of chain link fencing around track. c. Construction of Press Box and Pads for Home and Visitor Bleachers. 2. Electrical Systems a. Press Box, Scoreboard, Game Clocks. C. Keep Architect fully informed about progress of the work, performance of the work and potential problems
