Renovation of a transportation facility in Savannah, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,350-square-foot transportation facility.
The work consists of the rehabilitation of the roofs on existing hangars at the Savannah-Hardin County Airport. The hangars include two (2) 60'x60' hangars and one (1) 40'x195' T-hangar. In order to submit a qualified bid, specifications for bidding purposes must be obtained from www.a2hplanroom.com. Any bid submitted from a bidder not on the official bidders list and/or not containing the required information will not be opened. All bidders must comply with all legal provisions relative to the work covered. All bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the described construction as required by Tennessee law. The Bidder’s Name, License Number, Classification, and Expiration Date must be placed on the envelope containing the contractor’s bid. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bidder’s bond in the form obtained in the proposal from a surety company acceptable to the County of Hardin or a Cashier’s Check or Certified Check made payable to the County of Hardin, for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bids based on the high alternate. A 100% Contract Bond will be required. Bidders must observe conditions of employment and minimum wage rates as required under the contract. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference by an appropriate bidder representative is required in order to be eligible to submit a bid. The right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities is reserved. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened. Bids must remain open for acceptance or rejection for 120 calendar days after the date of opening. DESCRIPTION OF CONSTRUCTION WORK A. Scope of construction work is shown on drawings and specified in other sections. B. Notice: In no event is a product to be used in this project known to contain any hazardous or toxic waste or material, radioactive materials, or other contaminants, the removal of which is required or the maintenance of which is prohibited, regulated or penalized by any local, state, or federal agency, authority or governmental unit. If any product is inadvertently specified which contains such materials, it is the Contractor’s, subcontractor’s and supplier’s obligation and duty to advise the Architect/Engineer of this fact prior to the ordering and/or installing of the product or material.
