**As of February 27,2026, project was awarded to Midwest Excavating Services, awarded amount is $104,215.41.** The work is generally described as drainage ditch earthwork/grading (2,000 cubic yards), pipe cleaning/jetting (290 linear feet), and erosion control (3 acres). Proposals will be taken for said construction work listed above by unit prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project. All proposals must be made on blanks furnished by the Engineer and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the amount bid. Bid Security is to be made payable to the Treasurer of the City of Waverly as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will serve the best interests of the Owner, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
