The work consists of approximately 950 linear feet of 6-inch, 3,350 linear feet of 8-inch, and 20 linear feet of 12-inch diameter restrained joint ductile iron water main replacement and eight connections to the existing water system. The work also includes replacement of 97 water services, seven fire hydrant assemblies, seven blowoff assemblies, and one air and vacuum relief valve (ARV) assembly. Existing water main and appurtenances shall be filled and abandoned in place. Restoration includes trench patching, asphalt grind and overlay, curb, sidewalk, and fifteen ADA ramp replacements. Detailed work description is provided in the project drawings and specifications through Builders Exchange of Washington. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms provided in the specifications, proposal, and contract documents, and must be accompanied by a proposal deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to King County Treasurer for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. Northshore Utility District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, delete portions or all of the work, substitute alternative bid item prices, waive any informality in bidding, and make the award deemed to be in the best interest of the District. Proposals received after the time announced for opening will not be considered. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time announced for opening or before the award and execution of the contract(s) unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
