These specifications and accompanying drawings describe the work to be done and the materials to be furnished for the construction of the Kings Ridge Water Line Replacement - Phase 1 - Contract 1 Project. The Project generally consists of the following 1. Furnish and install 2,080' of 3" HDPE DR 9 via open cut trench. Includes all fittings, tracer wire, warning tape, line markers every 500', at bends and road crossings, blocking, connections, backfill, casing pipe, pressure testing, disinfection, and all other material or labor required for the construction of the water main. 2. Furnish and Install three 3" M&H water main gate valves according to the construction plans. Includes valve, valve box, and valve box lid. Equivalent gate valves are to be approved by OWNER before purchase. Final locations are to be field approved by OWNER before installation. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for any increasesin valve box height greater than that shown in the plans. Carrollton Utilities is seeking bids to replace 2,000 feet of 3" water main in Carroll County. The project scope involves the furnishing and installation of 2,080 feet of 3" HDPE water main installed via open cut, the installation of three 3" gate valves, and reconnecting five water meter service lines to the new water main. Proposals should be labeled with the name of the proposer and 'Kings Ridge Water Line Replacement - Phase 1 Contract 1' on the outside of the proposal envelope. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposals. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within thirty consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
