Excavating historic mine wastes at multiple locations on Bluff B and hauling, placing, and compacting those materials within designated consolidation areas. Activities include mobilization, demobilization, bonding, insurance, construction surveying, staking, erosion control, channel borrow excavation, hauling and placement, road clearing, compaction, and scoria placement. Work involves handling mine wastes, spoils, native spoils, and road aggregate that may contain hazardous materials posing risks to human health and the environment, requiring compliance with OSHA hazardous waste site regulations and HAZWOPER-trained personnel. Work is conducted under conditions that meet Removal Action criteria in accordance with 40 CFR 300.415(b)(2). The project magnitude is estimated to be between $1 million and $5 million. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
