The work consists of the complete disassembly and reassembly of two large (108 MGD) vertical shaft pumps at the Low Lift Pump Station in Wanaque, New Jersey, including installation of new pump rotors and seals provided by the Commission. It also includes engineering tasks to evaluate pump performance and vibration. The scope covers all labor, tools, rigging, equipment, any additional parts and materials, and supervision for overhauling the two pumps. A qualified subcontractor is expected to handle the pump performance test, vibration analysis, and engineering of any remedial tasks. Bidders must be experienced in overhauling large vertical shaft pumps and comply with all state laws and regulations related to public contracting, including "New Jersey Local Public Contract Law". RFP responses must be submitted via certified mail, hand delivery, or overnight delivery. Further instructions and proposal documents are available from the Commission's Contract Administrator.
