Estimated Value is $250,000. Contractor's License Classification Required: Each bidder and all subcontractors shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed to perform the work called for in the contract documents. License Classification: C-39 Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the contract documents as defined in the General Conditions. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the contract documents. Pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq., it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such Contractor, to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract, including holiday and overtime work as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in the Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Formal AB2031 Prequalification of Bidders and MEP SubcontractorsFor Projects using funds received that involves a projected expenditure of $1,000,000 or moreAs a condition of submitting a bid for this Project, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20111.6, any prime bidder/ prime contractor that holds an A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 license must be prequalified. Additionally, if this Project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified. A list of prequalified MEP subcontractors will be made available by the District to all bidders at least five business days prior to the bid opening date. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that all MEP subcontractors holding any of the licenses listed above are properly prequalified before submitting a bid. This prequalification requirement applies even if the prime contractor or subcontractor will perform, or is designated to perform, work that does not require one of the licenses listed above, but the prime contractor or subcontractor holds one of the licenses listed above. Remove and replace all expansion joint covers, cut out and remove 2000 sf of damaged foam Roof on the canopy. Apply foam product per Manufacture recommendations. John Manville Expand-O-Flash or equivalent Spray Permax 3.0 lb. density polyurethane roofing foam or Equivalent Permax -120 Elastomeric coating or Equivalent Permax white roofing granules or Equivalent KEY NOTES: Contractor responsible for lift rental and placement into the building. Any work requiring shutdown to the site (employees not being able to work) will have to be coordinated for weekends at contractor expense. When contracted work is complete, the areas affected will be restored to their original condition or better than when the project started. SAFETY: Safety is the top priority, especially when children are present at the construction site. Various safety measures like welding screens, vapor barriers, fire extinguishers, tape barriers, screens for flying debris, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and any other required safety devices must be used at all times to ensure the well-being of everyone involved No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the contract and shall be in the form set forth in the contract documents. All bonds (bid, performance and payment) must be issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Each bidder must strive to meet goals and requirements relating to participation by Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises ("D.V.B.E."), of three percent (3%) participation, established by the District, or make a good faith effort in respect thereto and provide the District with a report as to the actual participation at the conclusion of the Project.
