Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Valley City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Construct a multipurpose asphalt path, about 3.84-miles in length within the Utah & Salt Lake Canal corridor from about 4130 West 4700 South in West Valley City, then southeast through Kearns to about 6460 South 2200 West in Taylorsville City. Question Deadline 02/11/2026 at 1:00 PM MT The Utah And Salt Lake Canal Trail Phase 6 Is A Continuation Of Phase 5 And Extends Southeast Along The Utah And Salt Lake Canal. Due To Lack Of Space On The South Side Of The Canal Phase 6 Is Primarily Located On The Existing Canal Maintenance Road. An Asphalt Multi-use Path Of Varying Widths (10' - 12' Wide) Replaces The Asphalt Millings Maintenance Road. Improvements Along The Trail Include, Asphalt Multi-use Path, Concrete Sidewalks And Ada Ramps, Directional Trail Signage, Custom Monument Signage, Fencing, Opposite Bank Vegetation Clean Up, And Pedestrian Crossing Signage/signals. Only On The West Valley Property Have 2 Collapsible And 4 Stationary Bollards In The Base Bid, All Others Are In Bid Alt 1. At Major Streets Where Mid-block Crossings Are Not Feasible, The Trail Alignment Leaves The Canal Maintenance Road And Follows A Variety Of Sidewalks, Bike Lanes, And Intersections. These Sections Rely On The Monument Signs And The Directional Trail Signage On Existing Poles To Direct Users Back To The Canal Corridor. The Trail Rules Signage Are To Be Purchased And Installed By The Salt Lake County. The Phase 6 Trail Alignment Is Located In 2 Different Cities (West Valley City & Taylorsville City) And Extends Through Multiple Udot Right Of Ways, Requiring Permitting With All 3 Jurisdictions. The Canal Company Owns The Land/canal And Has Contracted With Salt Lake County To Allow Use Of Their Corridor. The Trail Alignment Is Located Within A Jordan Valley Water Conservation District (Jvwcd) Pipeline Easement, Requiring Caution And Detailed Coordination With Jvwcd. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
