Overlay three street sections with approximately 10,000 tons of asphalt concrete pavement (ACP). The project includes adjusting manholes, cold plane pavement removal, asphalt pavement repairs, loosening and adjusting water valve boxes, work zone traffic control, removal and replacement of pavement markings on two street sections, and other miscellaneous work. All labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the overlay are required. The estimated cost range for the project is $2,000,000 - $5,000,000. The class of work is asphalt concrete paving and oiling. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check equivalent to 10% of the proposal or a bid bond of similar amount. Bids must be signed and submitted in writing. All the provisions of ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 as amended by Senate Bill 477, relating to wage rates, must be complied with and a statement attesting to the contractor's willingness to do so must be signed and submitted with the bid. All bidders must state if they are a resident as defined in ORS 279A.120, and a percentage increase determined by the Department of General Services will be added to nonresident bids to determine the lowest qualified bidder. The City of Medford may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding that it is in the public interest to do so. No asbestos abatement license is required for this work. Pre-qualification requirements: All bidders shall be prequalified with the City of Medford, as provided by law under Oregon Revised Statutes, at least 5 days prior to opening of bids.
