The Board of Trustees of the Kankakee Community College District No. 520 is requesting bids for the north patio light project. Bids must be sealed and are due in the Office of Business Affairs no later than 1:30 p.m. prevailing local time on February 4, 2026, at which time there will be a public opening. Specifications are available at the Office of Business Affairs on the college campus, or by mail. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Remove conduit and wires completely from the existing panelboard. Due to unknown existing conditions, if interior conduits are under the slab, existing conduit shall be abandoned and capped. o Furnish and install new concrete foundation at the location of removed existing foundation for pole lights. o Furnish and install six new lights and poles, Sternburg light pole #3310-PS-0.188-GFI IUC-DBA-BKT(With GFCI), Sternburg light fixture #PT-A850SRLED-5P-12L-40-T5- MDL014-A-BKT o Furnish and install new fiberglass hand hole, Hubbell Quazite #B12132424G, FRP , 13" X 24" x 24", Tier 15, gasket, open bottom. Placement will be shown during mandatory pre-bid meeting o Furnish and install new lighting branch circuit from panelboard PP-1 in 1" conduit. Emt conduit shall be installed inside the building and sch 80 PVC conduit outside the building. Exterior conduit shall be installed 24" below grade. Excavate landscape and provide new landscape to match the existing. o All exterior stub ups shall be in ridged metal conduit above ground. o New Interior conduit shall be above the ceiling mounted. Provide all new junction boxes as required to transition to the new exterior underground PVC conduit. Conduit routing and wall penetration location to be field verified and coordinated with ownership prior to any rough-ins. o Provide fire barrier caulking at any through wall penetrations. o Connect new lighting branch circuit to existing BAS time clock and photo sensor o Circuits to be tied into Panel PP-1 that is located in the Library building. o A driven ground rod is required at each light pole.
