Renovation of an educational facility in New Paltz, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This renovation project is required to repair and upgrade the South Classroom Building with needed repairs and enhancements. The main aspects of this renovation shall include the replacement of up to nine packaged rooftop HVAC units, a complete gut renovation of the existing men's and women's toilet rooms to include partial replacement of metal structural floor joists, all plumbing fixtures, plumbing sanitary and supply line changes, new light fixtures, ceiling tile and grid, floor and wall finishes, new doors, and some wall reconstruction. General painting, carpet replacement, and whiteboard installation in select rooms are involved. Minor fire alarm work is also required. Contract documents are available and provide additional information and specifics to the work. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) SDVOB Goal: 6.00% Minority / Women Business Enterprise contracting goals (MWBE) MBE Goal: 15.00% WBE Goal: 15.00% The successful contractor is under an affirmative duty to inform itself by personal examination of the specifications and location(s) of the proposed project. No pleas of ignorance of conditions that may be encountered, or of any other matter concerning the work to be performed, in the execution of the work, will be accepted as an excuse for any failure or omission governing this project. Questions regarding this IFB should be directed to the Designated Contacts listed above, on page 1 of this letter. The Work Proposed Herein Will Be Completed Within the timeframe stated on page one of the Agreement. In the event the bidder fails to complete such work by said date or dates, or within the time to which such completion may have been extended in accordance with the Contract Documents, the bidder agrees to pay the University liquidated damages in an amount equal to the values indicate in the Liquidated Damages Schedule below for each calendar day of delay in completing the work. complete all work necessary for substantial completion within 157 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed or within the time to which such completion may have been extended in accordance with the Contract Documents; All interior and exterior work in South Classroom Building shall be scheduled to start in May 2026 and complete by August 2026 with the exception of the installation of the roof top HVAC units which may continue until November 2026 if needed due to lead times. 2. Contractor shall order all new or replacement equipment in a timely manner so as not to delay the Work. 3. The Contractor shall employ sufficiently trained, skilled work crews and provide adequate equipment and work crews as necessary to comply with the Project Schedule and complete the Work efficiently during this construction period.
