The City of Newport News is seeking quotes from qualified firms to provide demolition services for the structure at 345/347 51st Street, Newport News, VA 23607. The contractor is responsible for removal and legal disposal of all asbestos-containing material (if present and/or identified in the specifications), removal and legal disposal of all personal property from within the structure(s), demolition of the structure(s), removal and legal disposal of all debris, and clearing, grading, and seeding of the areas disturbed as specified. Bidders are instructed to allow adequate time for bid submission. Technical difficulties or uncertainty with the submittal process will not be accepted as cause for accepting a late bid.
