Work includes pavement milling, resurfacing, and striping of various City and Township streets. Bids can only be submitted through the Bid Express website. Bid specifications and plans are only available through the Bid Express website. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. The project must be completed no later than September 25, 2026. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Montgomery County, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce. The City of Miamisburg, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, and accept any bids or parts of bids that best serve the interest of the City of Miamisburg, Ohio. The City of Miamisburg's 2026 Asphalt Paving Program consists of fifteen (15) City streets. In a cooperative effort, this year's program includes resurfacing fourteen (14) Miami Township streets, and parking lot. The City of Miamisburg streets will be available on or after May 11, 2026. The project shall be completed by the contractor and accepted by the City on or before the September 25, 2026 PAVEMENT PLANING :- The removal shall be done by the cold milling process. Any curb and gutter chipped or damaged by this operation shall be replaced as directed by the Engineer. This work shall include the full depth planing of existing asphalt concrete within the Fiesta Lane, Marsha Drive, Marsha Court, and Somerset Drive areas. Existing asphalt shall be removed full depth. This work shall include the grading and rolling of the existing gravel base prior to placement of the 441 Asphalt Concrete Intermediate Course, Type 2 (449) PG 64-22. The contractor shall schedule operations such that placement of the intermediate course takes place the same day as planing immediately after the grading and rolling are completed. Work within the Marsha Drive, Marsha Court, and Somerset Drive areas may need to be scheduled in multiple phases to accommodate existing residential parking. Contractor shall provide a schedule of proposed operations for review and approval. Work shall be scheduled to take place during favorable dry weather conditions. No inclement weather shall be forecast. ASPHALT CONCRETE :- Paint contact surfaces of curbing, gutters, manholes and other structures with a thin, uniform coating of asphalt material before placing the asphalt concrete against them. The contractor shall bid a unit price per ton for the furnishing, applying, rolling and compacting the 401 Asphalt Concrete according to these specifications and at the direction of the City Engineer. MANHOLE ADJUSTED TO GRADE WITH CONCRETE APP :- There are approximately 19 manhole castings within the proposed streets to be adjusted to grade with concrete after paving of the streets. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor and equipment necessary to maintain traffic around the castings. Any castings that require adjusting during construction will become the responsibility of the contractor. Any new castings required will be furnished to the contractor by the City of Miamisburg. THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKING :- Pavement markings shall be in accordance with Item 644, State of Ohio Department of Transportation Construction and Material Specifications, current edition.
