Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Emporia, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of March 5th, this project has been awarded to S.R. Coffman for $96.793.** The work consists of all hazardous sidewalk replacement at locations assigned by the City for the calendar year 2026. The contractor will receive a purchase order as requests are received and will have 60 calendar days from the date of the purchase order to complete the work at the site or sites indicated. Unit prices will be per purchase order and not based on total project quantity. The bid items include various sizes of sidewalk replacement (4" and 6" thickness in different square footage ranges), reinforced sidewalk, miscellaneous site work, curb and gutter removal and replacement, handicap ramps with and without warning panels, and saw cutting. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or an approved bidder's bond in the flat rate amount of $1,500. The awarded contractor must furnish a statutory bond for $30,000 and a performance and maintenance bond for $30,000. Contractors must have a current set of City Master Specifications or a signed acknowledgment that they have read and will abide by the Master Set of Specifications. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive defects in bids. No bids may be withdrawn for thirty days after the time set for opening of bids.
