Sealed bid proposals for a for the collection and disposal of recyclable materials and bulk solid waste from residential properties and municipal facilities . Bid proposals shall be prepared and submitted on the forms provided, and in the manner required by the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid (but not more than $20,000) to guarantee that the bidder to whom a contract may be awarded will execute the contract and furnish the required performance bond. Each bid proposal must include a consent of surety from a surety company stating that the surety company will provide the bidder with the required performance bond if the contract is awarded to the bidder. Other documents required to accompany each bid proposal must also be completed and submitted. No bid proposal may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. A contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder responsible, or all bids will be rejected within sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. The Borough reserves the right to determine which contract will be awarded and the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid, all as permitted or required by law. The Borough of Mendham reserves the right to extend the contract upon agreement between the Borough and the Contractor in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15.
