The work includes the milling and resurfacing of Ironia Road from County Route 510 to Mountainside Road. Contract work also includes minor curb repair and ancillary drainage improvements. Principal items of work are 15,065 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less; 2,070 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course; and 735 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb. The work must be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon prescribed forms, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form, and be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder must provide a performance and payment bond for 100 percent of the accepted bid amount, as well as the required insurance certificates. Corporations not chartered in New Jersey must provide proper certification of authorization to do business in New Jersey. Bid envelopes should be sealed, labeled for the Ironia Road Improvements, and include the bidder's name and address. Compliance with New Jersey equal employment opportunity requirements and prevailing wage rates is required. All bids are irrevocable for 60 days unless otherwise permitted.
