Renovation of an educational facility in Washington Twps, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
DISCLAIMER: Per FKA Architects documents must be purchased in order to be an official bidder. The project consists of the replacement of existing Unit Ventilators and Mechanical Systems throughout the 1957 Addition wing of Berkeley Elementary School, the implementation of a steam to hot water heat exchanger to service the new systems, and the replacement of the existing pneumatic controls with new controls (Trane Tracer) and thermostats. The work includes: removal and disposal of existing Unit Ventilators, piping, fin tube, etc.; installation of new Unit Ventilators, lintels, steel, etc.; installation of new ERUs to service the Gymnasium; installation of a steam to hot water heat exchanger; modification of the roof for new condensing unit(s), ERUs, and exhaust fans; replacement of shelving along the exterior walls with new; mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and data modifications, relocations, and installation associated with new units; providing existing convectors with new control valves and wall mounted thermostats; and all other associated work as shown on the drawings and specified herein. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and comply with every requirement in the instructions and specifications. Bids must be marked in a sealed envelope with the project name, and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid (not to exceed $20,000). Bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and provide required certificates. Bidders must comply with New Jersey Business Registration Certificate requirements, the Law Against Discrimination, and all affirmative action requirements. No bids will be accepted from those on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets all bid requirements. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process.
