The purpose is to improve the intersection, and work includes: Traffic Signal Equipment, Earthwork, Aggregate Base Course, PCC Base, ACHM Surface Course, Curb & Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk, Storm Sewer, Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, Wheelchair Access Ramps, Maintenance of Traffic, Erosion Control Items, and Miscellaneous Items. Any inquiry received 48 hours prior to the opening of bids will be given consideration. Proposals must be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, or a bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent of the total maximum bid price as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within ten days after the notice of award. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a separate payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The contractor must be licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors if the work exceeds $20,000.00. Bidders must register for and submit their bid online. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the proposal deemed in their best interest. The City is not responsible for lost or misguided bids.
