The NEW HAVEN SCHOOL DISTRICT is inviting General Contractors to submit sealed bids for concrete flatwork located on the New Haven School District Campus March 4, 2026 Question Deadline Please contact Dr. Josh Hoener for any questions, requests for clarification or interpretations. March 12, 2026 Award Notification/Notice to Proceed -South Driveway Entrance- o Tear out and remove existing concrete and asphalt in designated areas, including curb and gutter. o Locate drainage pipe and install French drain and corrugated pipe to collect water o Install new rock base material for sub grades and compact to satisfactory o Install approximately 3740 sqft of broom finished concrete o @6" thick o Gator bar or rebar reinforcement installed with a 2 ft grid o Includes a new gutter where the driveway meets Elton St. o North edge of the driveway aligns to the north edge of the front sidewalk. o Tear out a section of front sidewalk shaded in red on the following page. Add this area into the driveway detailed above. This will add approximately 55 sqft to the original area. This additional area will be poured at the elevation of the driveway, not the existing sidewalk. o Install approximately 100 ft roll/vertical curb along west side of driveway along the fenced playground area o Saw cut controlled joints for expansion and contraction of concrete o Tear out and replace a section of concrete attached to the playground o Install approximately 400 sqft of broom finished concrete o @4" thick o Gator bar or rebar reinforcement installed with a 3 ft grid -Front Sidewalk- (Formally known as Option 1) o Tear out and replace a section of concrete in the front sidewalk o Install approximately 225 sqft of broom finished concrete o @4" thick o Gator bar or rebar reinforcement installed with a 3 ft grid
