Athens Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) requests proposals for Lawn Care Maintenance for all AMHA owned and managed properties. The proposal should include a planned program of lawn care maintenance for the 2026 mowing season, with properties located in Athens, Nelsonville, The Plains, Chauncey, Jacksonville, Buchtel, and Glouster. Mowing service will include general cleanup of trash and debris, mowing of yards, and removal of grass clippings from sidewalks, parking areas, and lots. Contractors must ensure that in the City of Athens, grass clippings are not blown into or onto any street or sidewalk. Trimming of grass and weeds along flower beds, sidewalks, curbs, trees, shrubs, buildings, fences, poles, parking lot bumper blocks, and other fixed obstacles is also required. Mowing and trimming of all grass and weeds shall occur weekly and is anticipated to occur between March through the end of October, and possibly November 2026. All proposals must include: 1. A proposal for lawn care maintenance. 2. Furnishing of all labor, materials, and tools required to complete the work in a timely and workmanship like manner. 3. Copies of proof of Worker’s Compensation and Liability Insurance Certificates. 4. A certified statement the firm is not debarred, suspended or otherwise prohibited from professional practice by any federal, state, or local agency. 5. Proof the firm is registered to do work in the City of Athens. 6. Section 3 Action Plan and Certifications in accordance with AMHA’s Section 3 Policy and Contractors Certifications. All proposals must be received in a sealed envelope clearly marked Lawn Care Maintenance by the designated deadline. AMHA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Bidders and contractors must be committed to the goals of the Equal Employment Opportunity Clause, Minority Business Entrepreneurship, and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended, by submitting a properly signed proposal.
