Sealed proposals are requested for maintenance of masonry at the Gary Courthouse. Proposals are to be in accordance with bid documents prepared by CSK Architects, P.C. and must be submitted for General Construction. All bids must be sealed, submitted on the Bid Proposal Form obtained from the Lake County Auditor's Office, and accompanied by Form No. 96, a satisfactory bid bond, certified check, or bank draft for five percent (5%) of the bid. Out-of-state bidders must include a certified check, bank draft, cashier’s check, or money order, payable to the Treasurer of Lake County, Indiana. Bidders must provide their Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number. The successful bidder must execute a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond (each for 100% of the contract amount) and a two-year maintenance bond for 20% of the contract amount within ten days of bid acceptance. Bonds must be maintained for at least 12 months after final completion. The successful bidder is required to comply with Lake County's Responsible Bidder Ordinance. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening.
