Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, superintendence, and necessary incidentals for sanitary sewer repair at 420 Cleveland St in Gary, IN. The work includes removal and replacement of the existing 15-inch diameter pipe with 15-inch diameter PVC SDR 35, approximately 162-linear feet, from Manhole No. 2367 to Manhole No. 2368; ensuring a uniform pipe slope of at least 0.15%; extending new pipe 4 inches into the inner surface of existing manholes with sealed and watertight penetrations; performing a mandrel test with GSD staff present; locating all project area utilities; field verification of sewer, manholes, and appurtenances before bidding; dewatering as required; providing bypass pumping to maintain sewage flow; excavating, removing, and disposing of damaged sewer and appurtenances; reconnecting or repairing active Wye connections for service lines/laterals including drainage pipes (service lateral repairs limited to easement or right-of-way); supporting/protecting utility poles, building structures, driveways, and underground utilities; using molded integral Wye connections on new pipe (no saddles allowed); providing granular bedding (minimum 6-inch) for new pipe; backfilling and compacting as per ASTM-D-698 and relevant specifications (95% maximum dry density per Standard Proctor Test); cleaning the sewer between Manhole No. 2367 and No. 2368 upon completion; televising (CCTV) and videoing the completed sewer per NASCCO standards and submitting video/inspection log in digital format to the Engineering Department (remedy and re-CCTV if quality is substandard or defects are found); ensuring the work is performed by experienced, trained, and certified technicians. Contractors must secure necessary permits and perform a pre-construction video of all existing surface structures and landscape, providing a copy to the owner.
