Site work and paving for a road / highway in Gary, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are requested for city-wide street resurfacing. Bidders must be INDOT pre-qualified. Bid documents are available for examination at designated locations and may be obtained electronically. Each bid must include a Bid Bond or Certified Check for at least ten percent of the bid amount, made payable as specified. Required accompanying documents at the time of bid include a completed State of Indiana Form 96, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Bid Bond, current Affirmative Action Program, and MWBE Subcontractor Commitment Form. Bids must be submitted on the provided Bid form, fully completed and executed. The awarded contractor must provide separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each for the full contract price, valid throughout construction. Bid security, except for the two lowest bidders, will be returned within fourteen days of bid opening; the remainder will be returned after contract execution and posting of required bonds and insurance. Bids may be withdrawn before opening, but not for sixty days afterward unless agreed by the City. The City will determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder considering the bid and relevant facts. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor defects. The City may investigate the qualifications of bidders and consider any prior experience with the City.
