Renovation and addition to a warehouse / distribution facility in Columbia, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a 5,320-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; 5,825-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; and 5,000-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility.

Work is to be performed on building D0839 in Jerseyville, which must remain operational during construction. The work includes alterations to expand the existing approximately 4,050 square foot pre-engineered wood framed building. Architectural work involves providing a 3-hour masonry firewall to separate the new approximately 5,000 square foot addition from the existing structure. The new addition will be a pre-engineered wood framed building with a standing seam metal roof and overhead doors for truck storage, matching the existing building in terms of roof slopes. Downspouts on the south side of the building shall be discharged into the ditch at the north. The new addition will have a 6” reinforced slab on grade. The addition will be ventilated with intake louvers interlocked with wall exhaust fans and will have new LED lighting with occupancy sensors. No plumbing, heating, or air conditioning work will be performed at this site. At the Columbia Salt Storage Building, work includes reroofing the existing 82’ diameter dome structure and enlarging the salt fill dormer (Building D0876). The contractor is to repair 300 square feet of dome structural sheathing and 64 linear feet of structural framing as base bid work. Work also includes new vinyl siding and sheet metal throughout. At the Carlyle Maintenance Shed, the work includes reroofing the upper roof of Building D0830 with a new trapezoidal standing seam metal roof, an area of approximately 5,825 square feet. Existing thru-roof Type B gas penetrations will be replaced, and PVC penetration rerouted as required. The building will receive new gutters, downspouts, and additional roof insulation. One set of plans and specifications will be made available to General Contractor Bidders by submitting a refundable deposit check in the amount of $150. Any additional sets must be purchased by the bidders at their own expense. The refundable set can be returned within ten days after bid opening by contractors who submit valid bids. A digital-only set may be downloaded for $100 and is non-refundable.
