Furnish all labor and materials for the construction, complete in-place, of the following work: replacement of the 36” combined discharge header in the High Service Pump Room, replacement of two 30” effluent pipes between the header and yard piping, installation of two full body magnetic flowmeters in an existing vault in the yard of the WTP, relocating the house water service to the GWTP, modifications to the existing vault including replacement of the concrete top, modifications to the existing staircase and installation of a walkway in the High Service Pump Room, replacement of the retaining wall along the High Service Pump Room access driveway, and site restoration. Bids must be submitted online electronically through QuestCDN. Only online electronic bids will be accepted. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. Electronic bid bonds will also be accepted through Surety 2000 using project #10038051. Bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid as liquidated damages if the bid is accepted and the bidder fails to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Minnesota. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, including any alternatives as described in the Contract Documents. Bid security must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to conform to the employment requirements set forth in the contract documents. The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
