THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO invites prequalified General Contractors to bid on the project/projects referenced Bidding Contractors are required to be pre-qualified with the Chicago Public Schools for this project. The form of agreement for the work will be the General Contracting Services Agreement. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND: 100% of the Base Contract Price A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price is required. Any question or doubt as to the true meaning and intent of the Drawings or Specifications must be referred to the Architect/Engineer of Record for response. Oral responses by the Architect/Engineer of Record or Board's Representative are not binding on the Board. PRE-CONSTRUCTION MILESTONES Milestone Completion Date Contractor’s Scheduler’s Qualifications Due (01 32 16) 03/26/2026 Preliminary Baseline Construction Schedule Due (01 32 16) Within seven (7) days of receipt of Notice of Award 03/17/2026 Full Submittal Schedule Due (01 30 00) 03/26/2026 Site Utilization Plan Due 03/17/2026 Long Lead Material Log Need an accurate, comprehensive and complete list of all the Long Lead items for this project. List must include: ? Date of planned submittal submission into eBuilder. ? Number of days to complete manufacturing after submittal approval. ? Date material/item will be onsite. ? Highlight any and all issues and bring to the attention of the PMO PM immediately. Chiller is estimated @ 8-10 weeks (based on a 154 ton unit) plus an additional 2 weeks for transit. Need to add an additional 2 weeks since so many schools are bidding at once. Pumps and Drives - allow at least 6 - 8 weeks plus another week for transit for those items. Pre-Construction Meeting 03/18/2026 Submittal of SOV Due (01 20 00) Schedule of Values shall be submitted no later than 14 days following the date established on the Notice to Award, but no later than 14 days prior to the date scheduled for submittal of initial Application for Payment. 03/31/2026 CPM Construction Schedule Due (01 32 16) Due within (4) days of approval of the Preliminary Baseline Construction Schedule. List of Assigned Personnel Due (01 30 00) 03/17/2026 All Shop Drawings with Long Lead Materials to be Submitted by 03/31/2026 Issuance of Building Permit 03/31/2028 – GC is responsible for providing all subcontractors to AOR & signed Easy Permit(s) by NTP. Submission of Pre-Construction Photos Due (01 30 00) 03/31/2026 - Prior to Mobilization Delivery of Moving Boxes [If Applicable] N/A Estimated Total Labor Hours (00 73 00) GC is responsible for providing breakdown of total labor hours organized by trade. CONSTRUCTION MILESTONES Milestone Completion Date Contractor Partial Mobilization for Roofing Scopes (following issuance of NTP and Permit), for Tear-Off, Temp Roofing, etc. [Note that the educational process cannot be interrupted or otherwise hampered by construction.
