The work generally consists of removing portions of existing sidewalk, removing portions of existing landscaping and irrigation system, replacing landscaping and irrigation system, installing new exterior electrical conduit and wiring and connecting to existing electrical system and installing exterior lighting, and construction of a concrete base/foundation and pedestal/backing for a city monument sign. Bidders must possess a valid Class A or a combination of Class C-27, C-8 and C-10 License(s) at the time the contract is awarded. Bids must cover the entire project, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services. Neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the order of City of Orinda. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. All work is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements and compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
