Sealed bids will be received for culverts, cutting edges, loading and hauling of gravel, crushing and stockpiling of aggregate, subgrade repairs, and supply and application of calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, or other approved dust control product. Materials and services are to be available for a period of one year from bid acceptance or until new bids are accepted. Bidders may bid on any or all categories, with each proposal required to be in a separate sealed envelope and properly endorsed. Specific submission requirements apply to each category, including completed bid forms and, where necessary, contractor’s license, insurance certificate, weed-free certifications, and a certified check. All items must be received prior to bid opening. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and accept bids in the best interest of the county. The county may hold bids for seven business days for review prior to acceptance or rejection. Instructions to bidders include obtaining official bid forms from the Road and Bridge Department or its website, bidding by specific category with proper envelope labeling, and submitting all required documents in specified separate sealed envelopes per category. Required documents for each category vary and must be submitted before the bid opening.
