Site work for a water / sewer project in East Moline, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of replacing the lead water services from the watermain to the water meter in four hundred seventy-one (471) houses throughout the City of East Moline. Bidders are required to undertake specified affirmative efforts at least sixteen (16) days prior to bid opening as outlined in the specifications. Compliance with President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, is also required, as explained in 41 CFR 60-4. Bidders must obtain all official notifications, addenda, and Bidding Documents only through the designated city website. A bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of East Moline, Illinois in the amount of 5% of the bid amount must be submitted with each proposal. Bids must be sealed prior to submission and shall be valid for 60 days. All contracts are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is lowest and/or best for the proposed project.
