The work includes constructing a new 24-inch diameter public waterline approximately 750 linear feet, relocating an existing fire hydrant, and installing a new water service line. This involves excavation, connection/reconnection to existing public waterlines, backfilling, compacting, testing, restoring, bypassing, and other related work as described in the contract documents. Bidders must comply with state anti-bid-rigging regulations, submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid, and utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system for employee verification. A Public Works Employment Verification Form must be submitted as a precondition for contract award. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and Rates apply. Each bid must include a bond, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 10% of the total bid. All bids are irrevocable and may not be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening.
