The work consists of final design and permitting services for a new bridge in Everett, Washington, which will extend Everett Avenue from East Grand Avenue and provide access to approximately 80 acres of city and privately-owned land along the Snohomish River. The project involves site preparation, traffic control, utility coordination, bridge structure (including curbs, sidewalks, illumination), associated roadway improvements, utility improvements, coordination with BNSF, non-motorized transportation improvements, barriers, and aesthetic considerations such as bridge aesthetics, landscaping, and irrigation. The site poses significant geotechnical challenges, including potentially liquifiable soils and groundwater concerns. Major phases and features required are: preparing a detailed scope of services based on a draft outline provided by the City, preparing preliminary engineering and 30% design plans for review, coordination with BNSF, and design engineering (plans, specifications, and estimates). Statements of Qualifications are to be submitted as six hard copies to the City Engineer.
